Operations/HR & Finance Manager-Oxfordshire, UK

Wolfram Research Europe Ltd. is looking to recruit an experienced Office and HR Manager to take responsibility for managing the operations group as well as taking company-wide responsibility for HR and a number of other functions.

Responsibilities include:

Operations

  • Acting as line manager for the Customer Service, IT and Accounts departments
  • Dealing with legal and compliance issues, including negotiating and reviewing contracts for suppliers, customers and events and handling contract disputes
  • Attending and keeping minutes for senior management meetings
  • Acting as a legal representative for the signing company contracts
  • Overseeing building and site maintenance issues along with tenant contract negotiations
  • Overseeing the company’s ISO 9001 compliance
  • Dealing with annual insurance renewals

Human Resources

  • Dealing and negotiating with agencies in regards to recruitment as well as dealing with direct recruitment
  • Calculating, submitting and reconciling the monthly payroll and associated monthly and annual returns, including pension compliance, private health care and salary sacrifice schemes
  • Reviewing and issuing employment contracts to new starters
  • Dealing with new-starter inductions and performing exit interviews
  • Dealing with immigration visa submissions
  • Dealing with employment disputes and processes
  • Maintaining databases of annual performance reviews and vacation/sickness time
  • Ensuring that the company complies with employment legislation at all times
  • Ensuring that health, safety and risk assessments are up to date and compliant

Accounting

  • Be familiar with financial reports and have a business knowledge of accounts 
  • Analysing accounts with the company's Management Accountant
  • Presenting accounts and financial reports to the senior management team

This is a senior management position within the business and previous experience in operational, human resource and/or accounting management is essential.
