Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and the Wolfram Language, is looking for an intern with a diverse skill set to join its Algorithms R&D department. Wolfram is building a neural network repository that contains both networks trained by Wolfram and networks converted from other frameworks. This position will focus on converting models from other frameworks to the Wolfram Language neural network framework format and writing pages showing how to use the networks. This position will also provide the opportunity for the intern to train neural networks from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Import deep learning models to the Wolfram Language
  • Test and correct statistical learning and deep learning models and algorithms
  • Investigate the performance of different tools for model conversions
  • Collaborate with external and internal users to obtain deep learning algorithms for the Wolfram Language
  • Work with external and internal users to implement functions for the function repository  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or a related technical or quantitative field
  • Outstanding experience with programming and algorithm design
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a desire to complete tasks independently

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with statistical leaning libraries and deep learning frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with the Wolfram Language
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
