The right candidate for the Enterprise Sales Executive position will be able to develop strategic paths toward a more computational future for mid-sized companies. This could include any combination or stand-alone sale of consulting, software, technology access, services and training. More than an “off-the-shelf” typical sales job, this position is a good fit for a creative and technical thinker to partner with organizations and institutions to create the future version of their industry. The Enterprise Sales Executive assumes the role of customer liaison and project lead through the solution development, implementation and life-cycle management of the product/service developed to meet the business customers’ evolving needs.


  • Contacting businesses within the Wolfram service territory, performing needs analysis and providing detailed solutions to these customers
  • Staying current with changes and developments in the technical software industry. This includes gathering competitive information on products and services and sharing this information with the product development, marketing, customer service and executive teams
  • Managing the initial configuration of all regulated and deregulated products and services, which may require written proposals or product demonstrations
  • Managing complex contract negotiations and working with legal counsel as required
  • Championing client’s agreement to purchase through order, design and implementation phases
    • Interfacing with and, as needed, giving direction to other departments within Wolfram to ensure customer satisfaction with services provided
  • Developing trusted partner relationships with key customers to retain and grow revenues over time
  • Assisting with marketing strategy and sales support
  • Maintaining ongoing customer relationships with travel to our serving areas as required
  • Evaluating business processes and recommending improvements
  • Participating in revenue budget forecasting and ongoing budget variance reporting


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or a related technical or quantitative field 
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record and experience negotiating and closing complex deals
  • Creativity, strategic thinking and the ability to use data and market insights to structure high-impact deals
  • Extremely proactive and a self-starter with strong project management, negotiation and execution skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for science, math and technology and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment
  • Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative and stay organized
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating deeply with product and engineering
  • Deep understanding of strategic business development and partnerships experience and an understanding of technology and data licensing business and related models
